We are all finally back into our routine. My oldest is back to school, we’ve gotten through the holidays and winter break, and I can get back to work.

So obviously that means it’s time for cake! Cinnamon roll cake, to be exact.

Because I loooooove cinnamon rolls, but I don’t always love how much time they take. (Although I do love making cinnamon rolls with heavy cream as a shortcut!)

But this cake? It’s got all the amazing flavors of that famous breakfast pastry without any of the rising time.

Now that we’re fully into September, I’m ready to start thinking about fall recipes. And oh boy, do I have a lot of them lined up for you as we lead up to Thanksgiving.

Coffee cake is such a versatile thing to make. I mean, it’s hard to find another baked good that is socially acceptable to eat for breakfast, afternoon snack, or dessert. 

Whether it’s a classic cinnamon coffee cake, pumpkin coffee cake in the fall, or a lemony blueberry coffee cake in the spring, I love them all.

This easy peach coffee cake is my newest addition to that list. It uses just a handful of pantry staples but turns them into a perfectly light, moist, peach-packed cake. Plus, since it uses canned peaches, it can be made any time of year!

I don’t know about you, but I like any excuse to eat cake for breakfast.

I mean, I still know that it’s cake. But calling it coffee cake gives you an excuse to splurge every once in a while, right?

Whether it’s my easy coffee cake made with baking mix, apple coffee cake, or chai coffee cake, I love them all.

So of course I love this blueberry buckle as well! It’s an old family recipe that still holds up after all these years. And I think you’ll love it as much as we do.

You guys, we are in the home stretch.

If you’re a parent, you know exactly why I’m calling it the “home stretch.” As magical as this time of year is, it’s also so exhausting when you’re the one making the magic happen for your kids. 

And that’s without mentioning attending all of the holiday recitals and parties and making sure they have outfits for all of the holiday dress-up days at school and putting together teacher gifts…

But we’re almost to Christmas and we’ll get to take a big breath and settle in with Christmas pajamas and a cup of coffee and maybe a slice of Bisquick coffee cake while the kids open their presents.

We can do this! Just remember that there’s coffee cake as a reward at the finish line.

We’re having some work done on our house starting this week and I’m here to tell you that the dogs and I are already exhausted.

Well, one dog is terrified and exhausted. The other one is totally unbothered.

If I’m going to have workers in my house disrupting my peace and quiet, I may as well bake. Right?

At least then I can have a slice of afternoon coffee cake.

This blueberry coffee cake is another absolute winner from my friend Erin at Texanerin Baking. Between the sweet blueberries in every bite, the hint of lemon, and the streusel on top, it’s hard to pick my favorite thing about this recipe.

When I was a little kid, I remember my Nana having different flavors of Entenmann’s desserts on her counter. Whether it was donuts or pastries, I was pretty much always a fan of her selection, unless it was crumb cake. 

I think she always referred to their crumb cake as coffee cake and when you’re 6, anything with the word coffee in it is a no-go. 

But fast forward 35+ years later and coffee cake is one of my absolute favorite sweet treats!

One of my absolute favorite ways to start my day is with a hot cup of coffee and slice of banana bread.

Whether homemade or from Starbucks, there’s just something about this combination that really hits the spot during the winter months.

Although I am pretty known for the banana bread that I bake on a very regular basis, sometimes I like to switch it up with this Make-Ahead Banana Coffee Cake.

It’s simple, delicious and the perfect way to feed a small crowd on Christmas morning. Just add some fresh fruit, bacon or sausage and you’re good to go!

Between testing it and just making it to share with friends and family, I think I’ve made this Pumpkin Coffee Cake over 5 times within the last month. And let me tell you, it might just be one of my new favorite pumpkin recipes.

This Pumpkin Coffee Cake is super easy to put together and it is perfect for holiday entertaining, potlucks, or as a delicious dessert throughout the week. The flavors actually deepen after it’s baked, so in my opinion it’s even better the day after it’s made.

Serve it up with a piping hot cup of coffee or tea and you pretty much have the perfect fall breakfast!

I feel like every season there are recipes that I try that are so good they automatically make it to the top of my favorites list. This Apple Coffee Cake is one of those recipes.

At this time of year, I love a good coffee cake recipe that can be served for breakfast, a snack, and of course – dessert. I’ve made this Apple Coffee Cake several times already and I’m pretty certain I’ll be making it over and over again every fall.

Serve it topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of caramel sauce for total caramel apple vibes!
