Sounds yummy! I adapted a favorite scone recipe to add bacon and cheddar so my daughter could make a quick egg sandwich to eat on her way to the bus stop when she was in high school. Now she’s in college and a vegetarian, so I leave out the bacon and add in some chives.

I think cheese based scones and cakes are very underrated. I just love them! Something about a savoury product that I think makes it so much better then if it were sweet.
