This Plum Pie Daiquiri is dessert in drink form. Sweet and creamy, with just the right amount of boozy goodness from Pearl® Plum Vodka.
If you’ve been reading MBA for any length of time, you know that I have a difficult time with change, which is why I still drive to Toledo for medical appointments. To some people, driving over an hour and a half for a 15 minute appointment is utter craziness, but to me it’s totally normal.
I don’t just stop at medical appointments either – I still make the drive to get my hair cut and colored and pick up my favorite store-brand Kroger items, because this girl can’t go too long without her favorite tomato bisque or lemon cookies.
Earlier this week, I was driving in for my yearly check-up and found myself having a full-on jam session while listening to the 90’s station on satellite radio. Knowing every word to Gangsta’s Paradise 20 years later is something that I’m oddly proud of. After belting it out along to Nirvana, Bel Biv Devoe and so many more, I realized that I have, in fact – become my mother.
Nothing annoyed me more as a kid than listening to her rock out to the oldies station. And now I’m the oldie, jammin’ to the 90’s station like it’s my j-o-b. What is this life?
Another way that I’m like my mama is in our taste in adult beverages. We both prefer them sweet, fruity and with as much frou-frou as possible. Think tiny umbrellas and loads of delicious fruity garnishes. That’s why this Plum Pie Daquiri is my new fave, it’s loaded with sweet summer plums, ice cream and ultra-smooth Pearl Plum Vodka. And there’s a graham cracker crust rim!
Pie in cocktail form is be your new favorite thing. Trust me.

Ok first of all, I just got a new car and with it, satellite radio for the first time ever. That 90s station is my life. The amount of Coolio, Bone Thugs ‘n Harmony and Biggie that gets played is epic. Secondly, I literally JUST had the “omg I’m my mom now” convo with a friend. I actually asked my mom at what age she stopped listening to new music and started listening to her old favorites from high school and her response was “probably my early 30s”….at 33, I’m like omg, it’s happening. I’ll whip up one of these and drown my sorrows in plum pie booze :)
These look so incredible! I love the plum pie twist…so creative!
Thanks so much, Alida!
A drink that doubles as desserts? I’m in, I mean really can you say no to this? Â Plus I’m with you about the “oldies” station, errr I mean 90’s. Â It’s not old, I swear!Â

Toledo, Ohio? I didn’t know you lived near there (errr….an hour and a half from there ;) ). I grew up in Adrian (Michigan), so we went to Toledo a lot as it was the closest “major” city.
I’m a sucker for ANY drink with a graham cracker rim, but this one looks especially awesome!
I moved to Toledo for college and ended up staying there for over 15 years! Thanks so much for stopping by!

you had me at a dessert in drink form… :) The purple color is gorgeous! Pearl Plum vodka sounds amazing!
wow so beautiful and gorgeous, pinning!
I have never had a plum pie and what a unique flavor for a daiquiri! love it :)
I hate change too! When I moved, I went far too long without seeing the dentist and doctor because I just really didn’t want to get a new one (2.5 hours is a little too far to drive).Â
This daiquiri looks so amazing – I’m totally down with drinking my dessert and I love the beautiful color of this!
The struggle is real, Rachel! So glad I’m not the only one. Thanks so much for stopping by. :)
