I will be your PR gal forever.

I have tried to explain how much home made mixes are better (no preservatives, you control amounts to mix in, MUCH LESS EXPENSIVE -AND- BETTER plus no need to remember AND STORE those tiny packages.. But these “new” kids somehow believe store bought is best.

This is a keeper!

I can’t have dairy products so I’m experimenting with leaving out the buttermilk and including cream of tartar and nutritional yeast instead, for anyone else with the same problem. Hope it works.

In reply to Karen. Great frosting tip! I always have buttermilk powder on hand (best price at Walmart and Winco), for my cornbread recipe and (now) ranch seasoning mix. I am definitely going to try it in cream cheese frosting.

Made a single batch twice (buttermilk powder is hard for me to get). Stocked up and just made a triple batch! Love using this dry as a seasoning on my baked veggies!
